Many patients have been told
that they have a thick uterine lining and are possibly in need of invasive
procedures. Dr. Goldstein, an expert gynecologist in New York City, was
the first to describe the fact that in postmenopausal patients with bleeding, a
thin uterine lining on transvaginal ultrasound meant there was no significant
tissue and no biopsy or D&C or further intervention was necessary.

to believe that a thick lining without bleeding requires some sort of
intervention. The data has shown that as many as 1 in 8 postmenopausal women
